Costa Rica Travel - Tours And Things To Do

Thursday, January 19, 2012

There are a lot of things that you can do as you travel in Costa Rican Coasts. In case you would like to have fin and enjoy your vacation. Here are a few activities and tours for you to enjoy.

Jet Skiing

Jet skis are fast, huge, and fun (not to mention the cool factor) and another great way to explore the beautiful coasts of Costa Rica. I invite you to hop on these wave runners and jet your way around the water. Or take a relaxing cruise along deserted beaches.

The guide starts the half-day adventure by giving you a short talk on how to handle the jet skis. After familiarizing with the vehicles the guide leads you to the open sea or into the river to look for dolphins or fishes. You will be able to see the volcanic rock formations, catch glimpses of the diverse marine life, enter mangroves and see beautiful islands. You can even make a stop to snorkel and swim in the clear waters.

These are the companies I like the most for these kind of tours:

1. Adventure In Costa Rica: It lets you cruise on the beaches of Playas del Coco up to the Santa Rosa National Park, in Manuel Antonio, as well as in Bahia Culebra.

2. Jungle Coast: It offers jet ski tours around the Manuel Antonio National Park.

Some things you should bring if you go on a jet ski tour are: sun protection, towels, sunglasses, and a waterproof camera.

Tours usually include guides, jet ski and snorkeling equipment, life vests, snacks, drinks and marina fees.

Safari Boat Tours

Costa Rica is a country that boasts of a very large collection of wildlife, rain forests, cloud forests and jungles. That is why taking a safari boat ride along some of the major rivers will give you the opportunity to check out the real Costa Rican flora and fauna in their natural habitat.

This is the type of tour that naturalists, bird watchers and in general all those interested in the environment would absolutely love, but also families and couples can have a great time learning more about Costa Rica's wildlife.

It is a very exciting yet relaxing trip that gives you the opportunity to choose between doing it on a canoe or an inflatable raft. You will be with an experienced, bilingual and naturalist guide all the time. In the beginning of the trip the guide will give you a short introduction as well as some instructions on how to navigate, how to paddle, what to do and what not to do.

The canoe or raft will glide silently along the river as you check out the following:

• birds perching on the trees

• crocodiles or alligators sleeping on the banks

• monkeys hanging from the branches of old trees

It is always a great idea to wear comfortable, light clothing and shoes plus bringing sunscreen and a hat will help you avoid sunburn. Also, don't forget the binoculars (to see all the tropical birds) and of course the camera to catch all those beautiful scenarios.

Come to Costa Rica to Experience and enjoy the peace of the beautiful rain forests boosting with bio diversity!
