Happy Valentine.

I have never been fussed about Valentine's day; I have found it only affecting me in past years as it meant my retail work was exceedingly busy. This year however, my Valentine's day was something extra special. 

I've long been obsessed with the musical stylings of Swedish musician Jens Lekman, but have always managed to miss his concerts in the past, so when he announced that he'd be playing in Sydney at one of my favourite performance spaces on Valentine's day this year, I jumped with glee. 

With the glorious weather that greeted us on Valentine's day, I kidnapped one of my best friends and we frolicked through Sydney's Royal Botanic Gardens and delighted our taste buds to the most extraordinary crêpes (if you live near Enmore, do yourself a favour and try the crêpes or waffles at Dough Box!). All in all, Valentine's day 2013 brought me so much happiness that I may actually consider using it as an excuse to celebrate life next year too!
