Notts Comedy Festival: Football Manager Ruined my Life

Championship football manager. Some of you with football obsessed boyfriends will appreciate any wife or girlfriends pain when you hear the "I'm just going to play on Champ Manager for a while" which ultimately results in an evening lost or - in some cases - a full day. 

Personally, I don't mind this... I say this happily now my fiancée is - in his words - "5 years clean of playing the game". So when we saw the title of one of the Notts Comedy Festival acts, Tony Jameson, we had to go. Football Manager Runined My Life.

His 90 minute stand up - with a fitting 15 minute half time - is focused around "championship manager ruining your life" and talks about his experiences of love, life and carrers as a result of the game - and his success with Blyth football club. 

Performing this stand up at the famous Edinburgh Fringe and throughout the UK this Autumn, Tony's stand up is without a doubt one of the funniest things I have seen in a long time and has certainly reinforced how amazing local comedy festivals, like the Notts Comedy Festival, can be when finding the next big thing! I have no doubt that Tony will go on to bigger and better things.
