Afternoon Tea at the Palm Court on Park Lane

Spending the weekend in London with my bestie, IntheFrow, always calls for yummy food and drink. So when she suggested going to The Palm Court on Park Lane for a "Royal Baby" inspired afternoon tea, I jumped at the chance.

Walking into this luxurious building, we were greeted by a friendly hostess who showed us to our comfortably, plump chairs and beautifully set out table - where no one expense had been spared on the attention to detail.

Our soft, cotton napkins were folded into the shape of baby diapers with a pink safety pin to represent the new royal baby, Princess Charlotte. But it didn't stop here...

As the champagne flowed and the harpest played her beautiful tunes (yes, it felt like something out of a movie), we began with a selection of finger sandwiches that were cut into cute squares and stars. On the side was a puréed pea and mint milk bottle, which was also delicious.

Next up came the teas, to which I opted for an English Breakfast and Victoria traded out for a rich hot chocolate. These
were followed by cakes and pastries - again, all firing within the baby theme.

From vanilla panacotta to grapefruit moose, the desserts were also incredible. But my all time favourite had to be the scones with passion fruit cream and pineapple jam.

Without a doubt, this is definitely a place I would recommend for afternoon tea.
