Harry Potter And Game Of Thrones Stars In Kraków

Dearest friends,

How many of you have grown up with Harry Potter? Reading it and then waiting for the movies to catch up and show us how the book comes to life? Let's face it... I got reminded just the other day, on the 24th of August, how I am almost the same age as the actors who played the kids growing up in HP. On the 24th of August, Rupert Grint turned 27 years old... and the first thought that came into my head was "Wow! How TIME does pass us by!". You don't feel it but every moment you get older and inevitably you get to the point where you actually realise it: you are no longer a child! (At least physically!). Some realise it later than other and some just don't want to; some even skip the stage, but not all of us are James Dean, and frankly I would not like to be in his shoes.
But let's get back to the main point of this letter, to you lively people out there who are HP and/or Got fans/freaks: Rupert Grint (Ronald Weasley) and Iwan Rheon (Ramsay Bolton) have been spotted in Kazimierz (Kraków, Poland). It seems that they are quite fond of the pub "Pijalnia Wodki I Piwa" and their "Chupa Chups" flavoured shots ;)
It seems that they will be staying a while, as they are filing in Kraków a new period movie. The movie it is said to feature the year 1907 and it is not yet sure if Kraków will be the city in which the action of the movie will take place. It may be that Kraków is meant to depict another city. It seems both Rupert and Iwan will play major roles and even if more details are not yet disclosed it seems that the Outside Casting Agency is already looking for extras - especially people with very long natural hair. If you are in the area and you are good at acting and you want to try this opportunity out, get online and fill the Outside Casting Agency form - it's in Polish but you can use Google translate ;) and... good luck! :)

The latest news seems to point out that the movie may actually be a TV series - hence a longer stay in Kraków maybe? Also Rupert and his lovely red mane - typically Weasley - was already spotted in the period costume (You can read more about it on this article from Daily Mail). They have begun filming and already there are a few local extras employed. The costumes look fitting for the beginning of the 20th century and I look forward to hearing more - especially about the story! And now that you are up to date with these 2 lovely young lads being in Kraków,  tell me, when are YOU planning to come? :)

Yours truly,
The Twisted Red LadyBug that always loved the Weasley Family :)
