A weekend in the Gloucestershire | Manor by the Lake

It was a weekend to celebrate two wonderful and special people in lives and the final Taylor family wedding of the year. My husbands brother and finance were due to be hitched in a romantic and idyllic venue in the Gloucestershire, known as Manor by the Lake.

Covered in autumnal coloured ivy, their October wedding could not have been planned in any better location than this.

The Victorian manor, had such much intricate detailing, from the stone walls to the stain glass doors and windows. Every  little corner held something beautiful within it. The manor was also surrounded by beautiful grounds and walkways around the lake, which really added to the whole romantic ambiance of the property.

When venturing inside, I was even more taken back by the beauty of it. Boasting a grand hallway with piano and staircase, this lead to a library, private bar and formal dining room.

But my favourite part was the bedrooms. There were a total of 12 luxurious rooms to stay in in total. Each decorated with a different, yet high spec finish. Obviously I don't have any pictures of the bridal suite, but I can say it was truly spectacular and twice the size of my apartment. Any bride would be in heaven at this venue.

Our room, or the Gatsby room as I like to call it, was decked out in black and gold and came with a four poster bed, dressing table, a Narnia style wardrobe and lots of mirrors - I don't think we've ever stayed in anything this luxurious.

We also had a private bathroom that was filled with miniature L'Occitane products - these were delightful. It also had a sweet little balcony, with with pretty views of the grounds.

All in all, such a beautiful weekend spent with amazing people in an amazing location.
