Travel Review 2015 and 2016 Adventures

It really has been another incredible year for me and my travel adventures. Despite this years not being as far away or as long as previous years, we've still had an amazing time and enjoyed adventures that have mainly been focused around our wedding, back in July.

Eat Travel Love Adventures in 2015

1. Edinburgh

Back in February, we decided to take a little adventure up to Edinburgh and it was truly the best idea we have every had! Walking around this stunning historical city, it felt like we had landed in a Harry Potter-esque world and you could easily see where J.K Rowling got her inspiration from.

2. Barcelona

There are no words to describe just how much I love Barcelona. From art to bars to shopping to restaurants to sports, there is literally something for everyone in this incredible city. So for me, it made perfect sense to celebrate my 'last single days' here with my best friends for my Hen Party back in June - and what an amazing weekend it was.

3. Egypt

One of the most exciting adventures I have been on - our honeymoon to Hurghada in Egypt. Since I was a little girl, I dreamed about exploring Egypt - especially Cairo to see all of the museums and pyramids. So when it came to booked two weeks away for our honeymoon, we wanted a place with history and adventure, but also the luxury of kicking back and relaxing on a beautiful beach. It was perfection.

4. Berlin

In October it was time for us to celebrate - part one - of my dads 50th birthday celebrations and so we headed to Berlin, where he grew up as a kid. This weekend was amazing, from visiting the Check Point Charlie to climbing up the Berlin Dome, every minute we learnt something new about Berlins incredible history.

2016 is going to be more #etlUSA

Whilst writing this post, I realised that we're not even in 2016 yet and we have either planned or booked in next years key adventures. So here we go:

1. Dublin - February

Having not yet been to Ireland  - I know it's literally on my travel door step - booking Dublin was one of the best things that we did this December. Flights from East Midlands Airport with Ryan Air were £20 return and we couldn't turn down that amazing price. We'll be going here for 3 days to explore the beautiful Irish heritage and of course have a good old pint of Guiness!

2. New York - May/June

The end of May will see another special birthday celebration and this time it is for my mummy's 50th birthday. We're taking her to NYC for a few days of sight seeing, shopping and incredible hot dogs. Plus, I've been itching to get back since our last travel adventure there in 2013!

3. Pacific Coast Highway Road Trip - October

Heading back over to the states, twice in one year, is literally a dream come true for me. I love the vast landscapes and places to explore. So this visit will be focused on the West Coast, where we will be renting classic American cars to drive the Pacific Coast highway - starting off in my favourite city of all time, San Francisco.

And there you have it! The ETL travel plans for 2016. If you've got any tips on the places we're planning on going to then feel free to send me a tweet @EatTravelLove!

Happy 2016 everyone <3
