Dinner and James Bond Martinis at Thirty Six | Mayfair

Whilst staying at the Dukes hotel, with my beautiful bestie IntheFrow, we decided to go for dinner at their Thirty Six Restaurant to enjoy their five star food and a James Bond martini.

Despite being a little late for cocktail our, we were kindly allowed to have drinks in the restaurant. I opted for the Vespa martini from the 007 inspired menu - which was tasty but incredibly strong. 

Apparently, this was the bar where Ian Flemming used to come to drink martinis and write his stories. Even the likes of Sean Connery have been here to sample the delights. 

Browsing through the a-la-carte- menu, I opted for South coast scallops (which were incredible) to start with and Victoria went with a goats cheese flan with beetroot. 

For the main, I went a little rogue and switched off the a-la-carte to the fish and chips of the day. Chunky homemade potatoes and fish bites were perfect with our New Zealand white wine. Victoria opted for a salt baked beetroot Risotto with pine nuts and goats curd. 

In a mist of all this glorious food and drink, I completely forgot to take a picture of our dessert. But we both went with the cheese board selection - a range of light cheddars through to rich blues meant it finish off the night perfectly. 

With super full and super happy, we made our way to bed.
