My 'big fat' Greek living room

It's been a few weeks since I posted about my living rooms inspiration of greys, lilacs and creams form our first home living room. Since then we have both fallen in love and purchased two beautiful soft brown leather sofas from Barker and Stone house.

My mind was set on a simple grey fabric sofa, but just like when I purchase my wedding dress, you just don't know until you start trying. But I soon realised that my lilacs and creams probably wouldn't go with this warm brown shade of sofa and I was left feeling a little perplexed at the idea of what to do moving forward.

Then, like the shining star that she is, my bestie Victoria (IntheFrow) was sharing her travel snaps and vlog of her adventures in Santorina, Greece. This instantly reminded me and ignited my love of cerulean and pale blues - colours which would fit perfectly with our neutral  walls and new brown sofa.

And so my inspiration and shopping began...

Landmarks

It's just so pretty! Something about these colours just bring instant happiness to me.

Textures

I love the mixture of abstract shapes and pretty florals that you can achieve with this style of decor. Plus, this is a perfect compromise for us as it's not too 'girly'.

Styles and extra colours

Adding a pop of colour, like this mustard yellow, into the mix really helps to amplify the blue and neutrals.

Keep your eyes peeled for new home pictures coming soon!
